Scope: We attend to the tracing of a debtor's residential and/or employment address with the purpose of serving a letter of demand and a consent to judgment and emoluments attachment order accepted and signed by the debtor.

Mission: To provide registered field agents (tracers / runners) with excellent knowledge and skills for the procurement of properly completed Trace Packs according to the rules and regulations of the debt collectors' regulating body.

Experience: We've been in this field since October 2005 and have extensive knowledge and experience of Sections 57, 58 and 65 (J) of the Magistrates Court Act and Section 129 of the National Credit Act on which these documents in the Trace Packs are based.

Client base: Highly specialized debt collecting companies or debt collecting departments in large companies and to a lesser extent attorney practices.

Capable and devoted field agents are used to visit clients/debtors to obtain their signatures on a Section 57 / 58 document, usually called a Trace Pack.

A Trace Pack typically consists of:

1. A letter of demand
2. A consent to judgment & an emoluments attachment order (garnishee order)
3. A debit order form
4. A sheet on which the debtor can state his/her financial circumstances
5. An "update sheet" for the updating of the debtor's current addresses and contact numbers

We do in-house tracing and confirmation of work addresses before Trace Packs are handed to the field agents / runners. Financial Debtors are preferably visited at their work addresses and only in exceptional cases will a debtor be visited at home.

Field agents are registered with the Council of Debt Collectors and strictly adhere to the Council's code of conduct when dealing with < a class="invisible" href="financial_tracing_agents.php">financial debtors. Their manner is persuasive, but they will never use undue force in obtaining signatures.
